TrueVector et Zone Alarm

Bonjour a tous,

Bien, je vous raconte l'histoire: depuis un certain temps, mon zone alarm (dernière version) ne donne un message que le TrueVector engine doit fermer et tout est geler, il fallait que je redémarre windows xp sp2 pour que tout marche bien. Ca arrive souvent quand je laisse l'ordinateur ouvert longtemps.

Alors, pour essayer de rémédier au problème, je décide de faire uninstall de ZA. Tout semble aller bien et on me demande de redémarrer Windows. Par la suite, lorsque j'essaie de réinstaller ZA de nouveau, il me donne un message que:

Setup is unable to log into the truevector. Install cannot continue without logging into the truevector service.

Ainsi, je ne peux pas réinstaller ZA.

Pourtant, j'ai passé Ccleaner et vérifier que ZA est désinstaller. De plus, j'ai désactivé le firewall de Windows pour être certain.

J'ai lu un peu sur internet sur ce problème et ca semble fréquent. Les solutions sont un peu compliqué pour moi.

Pourriez-vous m'aider ? et je me demandais si le firewall de windows xp peut être suffisant vs ZA.

je fonctionne avec le pare feu windows et je n'ai aucun probleme.J'ai deja essayer zone alarm et je le trouvait trop lourd et penible a travailler.L'avantage de zone alarm versus windows c'est qu'il filtre autant le traffic sortant que celui entrant contrairement a windows qui filtre que le traffic entrant.

Très gentil de votre part. C'est que j'ai toujours travailler avec ZA, c'est pour cela que je suis peu confortable de tourner vers d'autres choses, mais votre expérience m'inspire confiance, oui, au pire aller, je pourrais simplement activer le firewall de windows xp.

Désinstallé Zone Alarm

Uninstalling Zone Alarm
These instructions are based on those supplied by Zone Labs and apply to all ZoneAlarm firewalls

If any of the steps below do not apply to you, or if you are unable to carry out the operation for whatever reason, please continue to the next step.
Launch ZoneAlarm, go to the Overview > Preferences tab and make sure the Load At Startup box is UNchecked.
Close the programme, then right-click on the ZA icon and select Shutdown.
Restart your computer.
You should now have no ZoneAlarm processes running on your system.
Click Start > Programs > Zone Labs > Uninstall.
Be sure to say YES to the security check.
Important. Do NOT attempt to uninstall ZoneAlarm in Safe Mode or the programme may not be able to make the necessary registry changes, resulting in errors after a reboot.
Restart your computer.
Double click on My Computer.
In Windows 95or 98, click View > Options (in Windows 98, this will be called "Folder Options"). Click the "View" tab, then click the "Show all files" radio button.
In Windows ME, XP or 2000, click Tools > Folder Options. Click the "View" tab, then click the "Show hidden files and folders" radio button.
Make sure you also UNcheck the box to "Hide Protected Operating System Files" if you have one.
When searching, be sure to search ALL hidden files and folders.
Click OK.
Important. Modifying system files may disable crucial functions of your operating system, so please be sure you re-enable the "Hide files and folders" feature once all ZoneAlarm files have been removed.
Click on Start, then Search or Find, and select Files.
Make sure that the location box is set to search your local hard drive (usually C or "All Local Drives".
Type the following exactly as shown and delete any folders found.
zonelabs
"zone labs"
"Internet logs"
Type the following exactly as shown (including .* where appropriate) and delete any files found in C:\Windows or any of it's subfolders. Don't forget the C:\Temp or C:\Windows\Temp folder.

vsmonapi.dll
vsnetutils.dll
vspubapi.dll

vsutil.dll - Important. Right click and select Properties > Version to be sure this is a ZA file. Do NOT delete this file unless it is a Zone Labs file!
Type the following exactly as shown and delete any files found in any folder with the word "Programs" in the path.
zapro
zonealarm
"zonealarm pro"
Empty your recycle bin.
Restart your computer.
If you received an error message on deleting the files, or if the original programmes remain in the Programs list, restarting your computer in Safe Mode will allow you to delete the files properly.

J'ai déjà eu le problème que vous décrivez. J'avais restauré l'ordi à une date précédente et cela avait réglé le problème.

Effectivement, j'ai essayé la fonction Restore, mais sans succes, ZA est inexistant... Malheureusement, j'ai fait l'erreur de désinstaller ZA par ununstall ZA sans bien lire qu'il faut effectivement bien fermé ZA en veille

alors, si je comprends bien, ca ne pardonne pas si on a désinstaller par la mauvaise méthode ?

Bonjour.

Avez-vous vérifié que tous les fichiers identifiés dans le post de "Rossssignol" sont bien supprimés?

En n'oubliant pas d'activer la fonction pour voir les fichiers et dossiers cachés.
