avast anti-virus

bonjour
actuellement j'ai norton anti-virus 2002 et je dois renouveller le mois prochain et comme norton 2002 n'est plus valable il vaudrait que que j'achète 2006, je voudrais essayer avast dont on dit grand bien, j'ai téléchargé avast et ce que je me demande dois-je supprimer norton et installer avast sans etre connecter a internet ou c'est sans importance Merci

Bonjour.
Idéalement, vous devez désinstaller Norton avant de faire l'installation de Avast. Commencez par utiliser le logiciel "uninstall" de Norton qui devrait se trouver dans "Démarrer/Programmes/Norton...", si non utilisez "Ajout/Suppression de programmes". Finalisez ensuite, avec "Démarrer/Rechercher" et tapez "Symantec" pour supprimer tout ce qui restera.
Pour une sécurité accrue, il serait aussi préférable que vous soyez déconnecté d'internet pour ces opérations et que toutes les applications actives non nécessaires soit fermées.
Et au cas où?
Désinstaller Norton 2002.

bonjour
j'ai pu desinstaller norton sans probleme et installer avast et même configuré une tâche planifier pour que avast s'execute une fois par semaine comme le faisait norton mais une question pourquoi l'icone de avast tourne dans la barre des taches par moment Merci

L'icône tourne lorsque Avast "scan" et/ou vérifie la présence de mises à jour pour le programme ou la base virale.
Extrait des FAQs: "How does the update service work?
At first, avast! tries to detect if the computer is connected to the Internet - it sends a 'packet' (message) to one of our servers and waits for reply. If the 'packet' is received, avast! "knows" that the computer is connected and the update may begin. If there´s no reply to the 'packet' sent, avast! will try to ping (connect to) the server again every 40 seconds.
If the ping is successful, avast! connects to our server and checks if there´s any new updates available. If there is, avast! will download and install them. If not, avast! will wait for 4 hours and then try to connect and check for updates again.
In short: avast! detects the connection to the Internet every 40 seconds and looks for new updates every 4 hours."
